The technology Word has several meanings, depending the age (time), use and the knowledege requested. There are many problems for the human being that are no considered linked in technology because its solution does not request a systematic procedure, but other are considered structurally complicated, and thus is  necessary to follow a  strict research, to develop different types of products in order to satisfy the needs of  men.

ICT’S AND EDUCATION

Actually we can`t consider the education an individual process, where the teacher is just worried   providing an information to the students and verify if they could assimilate it.

The information and communication technologies give the teacher the tools to understand an environment where the student can choose a quantity of elements, in order to research, to connect data, communicate with other students, and participate in different places using available resources.

THE USE OF TECHNOLOGY IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING.

When the people listen the word technology, always come to their minds, computers, but really there are more than that. In the evolution of technology we can find several kinds of teaching, and since during the daily live we touch many technological components, it is necessary those resources to create knowledge.

The technology has replaced the traditional English teaching because in it, we can find too much information without going to another place and that allows the students, to put together many information in few steps, in this way the building of knowledge is simple, easy to remember an structurally applicable.

THE ADVANTAGES OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING       ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Is important to express that the technology always allows the students  all the elements  shown in the network, that are part of an integral education,  due the possibility of the students interacting in the virtual environments and practice  with people who can teach them with a more practical class, thanks to a real experience in cultural exchange.

Although in many countries is difficult the Access to the network for the common people every day are more students who interact in virtual classes and they realize that is not necessary to go to the library and research about something that they have in the net with a few steps and time, in this way acquiring several concepts and knowledge in touch with real people who can transmit a big amount of information.

THE IMPACT OF USING TECHNOLOGY

In a global point of view the use of technology represents different kinds of connections, not just in English environments, but in the economic, social, sites that allow the people perform transactions, close business, exchange cultural concepts in one second.

 The technology allows to save many and heavy information that in a certain moment can be transmitted by  electronic devices and avoid the movement or displacement optimizing  many resources.

CONCEPTS

1.      The concept of technology.

Technology is the creation and application of any means used to enhance quality of life or solve any problem. It involves knowledge, tools, financial management, processes and organizations which combine their assets and know-how to achieve an objective that will have an impact over a specific community. 

2.      ICTs in education.

Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) are certainly relevant in this changing world that demands competitiveness in their application. Teachers around the world face a big challenge in becoming tech savvy themselves for the fact of acquiring technology does not solve the issue itself. The mindset of a true educator must always be willing to face challenges and changes informing him or herself in order to be able to transfer pertinent knowledge; thus,  It is imperative that we,  teachers,  understand the how, when and where to apply these tools. In other words, we, teachers, ought to understand the use, pertinence, and purpose of ICTs in our curricular plans. If we teachers are not willing to use and assign tasks that involve ICTs, future generations will be doomed to lack of progress and prosperity.  

3.      The use of technology in English teaching and learning.

Problem solving and students centered curriculum must be the basis of education. Being technology the creation and application of any means used to enhance quality of life or solve any problem, education and technology go hand –in-hand and cannot be separated. Nonetheless, technological tools must never replace the teacher and his or her role as facilitator or guide in the learning process.  On the other hand, regarding English teaching in technology: Learning English for the purpose of communication is especially urgent today.  English, as the language of today and tomorrow, plays an important role in allowing students to access knowledge, for the vast majority of information on the web can be encountered in English; thus English language teaching has expanded its universe allowing students to go beyond language learning. For years, technology and language learning have made a good match as it offers the opportunity and makes more accessible to people in general the access to understanding English speaking cultures through multimedia that in the end, may be used to motivate discussion, listening, writing composition, and even reading comprehension.

4.      The advantages of information technology in teaching English

The wonders of Information Technology in English Teaching are certainly irrefutable for in today’s society ICTs play an important role and make part of our context. By using ICTs intrinsic motivation of students can certainly be ignited; on the other hand, applying these tools could also allow time saving, diminish work load for the teacher and assure language learning trough the multiple available teaching- learning options involving technology.

      The impact of using technology

The impact of using technology can be nothing but positive. As we are immerse in a world in which technology plays a relevant if not a central role, we ought to align technological tools with language learning. Numerous studies show that motivation can be ignited through the implementation of various technological options with the purpose of improving speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.

1. The Concept of Technology.

     Technology is a broad concept that includes a set of techniques, knowledge and processes, which are used for the design and construction of objects to satisfy human needs.

     In society, technology is a consequence of science and engineering, although many technological advances are subsequent to these two concepts

2. ICTs in Education

     Is the pedagogical use of all the instruments and equipment generated by technology, as a means of communication, which can be used in pedagogical processes, in order to facilitate the teaching-learning process. With an approach, systematic for organize, understand and handle them multiple variables of any situation of the process, with the purpose of increase the efficiency and effectiveness of this in a sense broad, whose purpose is the quality educational.

3 The Use of Technology in English Teaching and Learning

     The use of ICTs promotes and encourages meaningful real learning and this contributes to the cognitive structuring in people. By using new information and communication technologies, has been considered that these help us to a more direct understanding of the civilizations of through audiovisual tools English-speaking countries and help us to include in our classrooms a greater variation of resources that help motivate and encourage students within the communicative approach from English.

4. The Advantages of Information Technology in Teaching English

·         Students are more motivated to learn.

·         Students develop a sense of accomplishment when they understand the materials to use.

·         Students gain confidence in using the new language.

·         Students have more opportunity to deal with the new terminology, vocabulary and special knowledge.

·         The authentic materials that they can be found with the use of technology can strengthen the relationship between the language that is learned in the classroom and that is used in the real world.

5. The Impact of Using Technology

     There is no doubt that allows students an independent learning, in continuous contact with instructional material and facilitators, favoring knowledge generation; However, the computer can become a distraction element or contribute to the isolation of the student of the world that surrounds it. In conclusion, it is important to consider that not everything is the click: it is also necessary to rescue the pedagogical and technical.
